A suspect has been arrested by the Nigeria police for killing a National Youth Service Corps member

A suspect, Adamu Jibrin, 22, has given reasons why he killed a serving National Youth Service Corp member.
Jibrin was who paraded by the Kaduna state police command on Saturday, November 5, said the victim Lawal Kontangora was dating a girl he loved.
He said the incident happened after his friend Bahago approached him to help confront a man who was dating a girl in loved.
“He said I should come and accompany him to the guy and I told him I wouldn’t want us to waste time there because I don’t want to be out for long in the night. He went in, carried a gun and a knife and gave me the knife,” Jibrin said.
“When we got to the place he showed me the guy from a distance; as we approached the car, he knocked on the door of the car as it was locked.
“The guy then opened the car and Aminu sat in front with him and the guy asked us what we want from him before Aminu started reminding him that he is dating his girlfriend.
“Then Aminu drew him out of the car and Aminu told me that I should stab the guy with the knife, I stabbed the guy at the back and after stabbing him, Aminu shot the guy with the gun on his leg,” he said.
It was gathered that the Lawal and his unnamed friend had reportedly gone to visit a female friend at the Malali area of the state on October 17, where he was killed.
Meanwhile, the founder of the El-Bethel Parish of the Celestial Church of Christ, Itaaka, Abeokuta, Michael Adeniran was arrested by the Ogun state police command for impregnating a 15-year-old girl, Mary.
The police in Ogun state said the pastor was arrested following a complaint from Mary’s mother on Saturday, November 5.
Also, spokesperson for Ogun state police command Abimbola Oyeyemi said Mary, a senior secondary school 2 girl was a member of Adeniran’s church before the incident.
Oyeyemi, an assistant superintendent of police said Mary’s mother ran to the police after she noticed her daughter was pregnant.
